Mario C who thinks that this terrible script is movie worthy? Total waste of time, terrible acting and the production was bad. Will never waste my time on stuff like this from this producer, script writer or actresses. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review Cara J One of the most beautiful movies to exist I am hoping that this movie gets a sequel it deserves one Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Audience Member This movie is well shot with great aesthetics. The characters are few, allowing room for deep character development. Characters felt shallow and lacking, however. Overall it's worth watching. The plot is clever and at times unpredictable. It's not a cookie cutter Romance, but a little more grit would have given it the human touch needed to leave a lasting impression and evoke a stronger emotional response. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/24 Full Review Ali S The movie was horrible and had no purpose. The characters talked weirdly and I was confused the whole 2 hours. It was such a waste of time. DO NOT WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/03/24 Full Review Terry D Absolutely one of the best movies I've watched this year. All of the main characters are just spot on. It helps that they are (to me anyway) unknown actors. The main character, Ellie Chu is tough as nails and still a very bright, caring young girl who is about to pitch her future into a local college rather than following in her mother's figurative footsteps and go to her first choice college, half a continent away from the widowed father (just an outstanding perf). So touching, so moving I will most def watch this film again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/12/23 Full Review Nana u I absolutely love this movie! Maybe I'm being biased, Because a few years ago, this was the first sapphic film I watched. But the story is real and with real characters, who cause a certain identification, as well as bringing a few laughs at times. Drew Gregory Autostraddle Funny and charming and lovely and real. Sep 10, 2021 Full Review Christina Newland Empire Magazine The Half Of It is a likeable if not especially memorable entry into the teen romantic-comedy genre - but it gains most of its merit through its sensitive depiction of outsiderdom and self-acceptance. Rated: 3/5 Feb 20, 2021 Full Review Karen Han Polygon The idea of a teenage version of Cyrano de Bergerac seems to lend itself to pure romantic fluff, but Wu imbues it with incredible depth and consideration. Feb 20, 2021 Full Review Michael Cuby them. The Half of It brilliantly capitalizes on the everlasting appeal of an easy-to-swallow romcom by disrupting the very same tropes it inevitably clings to, resulting in a film that feels comfortably familiar but still entirely fresh. Oct 3, 2022 Full Review Rahul Desai The Hindu That rare film in which words marry technology. It puts the text back in texting. Jul 20, 2022 Full Review Ben Turner The Pink Lens Narratively this doesn't reinvent the wheel with this umpteenth retelling of the Cyrano de Bergerac story, but this is also absolutely one of the strongest teen movies released in recent years.
