Game of Thrones stars Sophie Turner and Kit Harington set to reunite for new horror movie

Winter is coming again.

Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, who played half-siblings Sansa Stark and Jon Snow on Game of Thrones for eight seasons, are teaming up again for a new horror movie, The Dreadful, according to Deadline.

The Gothic horror film will see Turner play Anne, a solitary outsider who lives with her mother-in-law on the fringes of society during the War of the Roses (which served as a primary inspiration for George R.R. Martin while writing the Song of Ice and Fire series on which Game of Thrones is based). Harington’s character is described as “a man from their past” in the movie’s brief logline, per Deadline.

Natasha Kermani, whose previous projects include the horror film Lucky and a segment of Shudder’s V/H/S/85, will write and direct the movie.

Turner recently appeared in the film Do Revenge and the HBO miniseries The Staircase. She’ll next be seen in the British crime series Joan, in which she’ll play real-life criminal “Godmother” Joan Hannington.

Harington’s recent projects include the TV series Extrapolations and Lot No. 249, as well as the movies Blood for Dust and Baby Ruby. He also played Dane Whitman, the Marvel Comics character who eventually becomes the Black Knight, in Eternals, so it’s possible he’ll appear in more Marvel Cinematic Universe projects down the line.

Last year, George R.R. Martin confirmed that Harington was working with HBO to develop a Jon Snow spinoff series. He will next appear in season 3 of Industry.
